What I teach: Gentle, Hatha, Meditative, and Workout Classes
My current classes and workshops include: I am currently a substitute teacher at Anahata.
Why I teach: I fell in love with yoga. As a teacher I hope my students will benefit from their practice as I have. I love the person I have become, on and off the mat. I hope students can take experiences they have with me into the world and apply them off the mat.
My classes are: I focus on themes that help students to feel good about themselves and their practice. In my classes I offer time for pranayama, assisting in postures, keeping the body safe, maintaining anatomical alignment, and relaxation. I make sure that students have time to feel and experience what is happening in the body through the practice.
What brought me to yoga: I have always had a passion for good health, eating well and taking care of my body. I was always trying new things to try and better myself and my health, and I stumbled upon yoga.
Favorite pose (and why): My favorite pose can change from time to time but currently I love inversions. I love being upside down. I think it is amazing that our bodies can do such amazing things.
Off the mat, I: I love being outdoors. Hiking, biking, or sitting and enjoying nature, on the beach or in the mountains. I love spending time with my family, my friends and my best friend of all-my dog. I love doing crafts, watching movies, and cooking. I always seem to have my hands in something.
Inspiration (a favorite quote or two):

“If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” -Roald Dahl
