What I teach: Gentle Yoga and Yoga for Kids, Teen Athletes
My current classes and workshops include: Gentle Yoga, Yoga in the Park for Kids
Why I teach: I teach because I love to share all that I love about yoga. It has changed me as a person and has changed how I interact with others.
My classes are: Gentle and Fun. I like to offer students options and variations to their practice. It is my belief that yoga is accessible for everyone. I offer props and modifications.
What brought me to yoga: I was invited to attend a class with a friend and went reluctantly. I left the class feeling centered and balanced. I began a home practice and then joined a yoga studio where I tried many classes. I look forward to my meditation each day and to my time on the mat. Yoga has taught me balance.
Favorite pose (and why): Tree pose! There are so many variations for this pose and I feel strong in this pose!
Off the mat, I: I am a wife and mother. I have been married to my husband and best friend for almost 22 yrs. I love spending time with my family and friends. I cherish the time with my girls going to soccer, basketball and lacrosse games. I enjoy reading and journaling, and listening to all kinds of music! I love to go for long walks and bike rides with my husband and the girls and spending time at the beach with family and friends.
Inspiration: Life is not about the breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away.
