What I teach: Hatha, gentle yoga, chakra yoga.
My current classes and workshops include: Gentle Chakra Yoga.
Why I teach: I have been a bodyworker for almost two decades and after practicing yoga on and off for more than 10 years I have seen the many benefits for mind and body. My intention is to share my knowledge with those seeking to improve their physical and emotional well-being in order to live a healthier and fuller life.
My classes are: gentle to moderate and playful with an emphasis on flow between breath and movement.
What brought me to yoga: As a massage therapist, my body was always tight and although walking helped it wasn’t quite enough of the right kind of movement to help me unwind. Yoga helped rejuvenate me physically and emotionally without putting stress on my already-tired muscles.
Favorite pose: Natarajasana, Dancer pose. Though a bit more of a dynamic posture, Dancer helps me regain my focus and confidence as it is a balance posture; it also activates the first four chakras!
Off the mat, I: am a licensed massage therapist, holistic health coach, love to hike and go kayaking, play in the garden and hope something grows! My passionate hobby is making jewelry.
Inspiration: My mom, for always living life with acceptance and grace…seemingly without effort.
