What I teach: Gentle and Therapeutic Yoga, Reiki
My current classes and workshops include: Loving Your Sensational Body, Finding Your Authentic Voice, The Kitchen as Sacred Space, Heart in Hand-Simple Thai Yoga Techniques You Can Share, Manifesting the Life of Your Dreams-Making a Vision Board, Date Night Yoga. I also offer private Vedic Thai Yoga sessions and Yoga Therapy.
Why I teach: I believe our bodies are manifestations of our spirits, that our physical tissues house a grateful being who is overjoyed at the opportunity to have a human experience. A practice of joyful movement, good food, and healing touch, keeps us in harmony and allows us to listen deeply, to truly know ourselves, and to feel the full scale of that experience.
My classes are: fun, informative, introspective, inspiring.
What brought me to yoga: Looking back, I see that I had a deep need to get back into my body, to come home to it, and to experience it in a deeper and more deliberate way. At the time, I just knew that it was a fun and gentle way to feel better.
Favorite pose (and why): These days, I love constructive rest pose and half yoga nidra. I’m healing my sacrum and these shapes, along with the emotional work that goes with them, are helping to bring things back into alignment.
Off the mat, I: One of my favorite things to do is to cook for people I love. I’m a writer. I love to hike, and I will pet your dog or snuggle your cat any day of the week.
Inspiration (a favorite quote or two):
